A worn bearing fit or seal area doesn’t mean a new shaft. We restore pump shafts and sleeves with HVOF carbide, hard chrome or weld overlay, then grind them back to print. Pump service centers send us shafts when a new one would take too long or cost too much.

| Wear problem | What we usually recommend |
|---|---|
| Abrasive slurry, erosion | HVOF tungsten carbide or chrome carbide |
| Smooth, hard seal or packing surface | Hard chrome |
| Corrosion in seawater or chemical service | HVOF Inconel (nickel alloy) |
| Heavy loss of material | Weld overlay or sulfamate nickel, then coat and grind |
We’ll tell you which one fits from a photo of the wear, even when it’s the less expensive option.
We grind to a mirror finish and to your print, which matters for runout on rotating shafts. Tell us your timeline when you request a quote. ISO 9001:2015.
If the core shaft is sound, a repair usually costs less and comes back faster than a new shaft.
Send the length, diameter and weight and we will confirm.
